How to delete your account (in the app)
- Open the Mealuma app
- Tap the Profile tab (bottom right)
- Scroll down and tap Delete account
- Read the confirmation notice and tap Delete to confirm
Deletion is immediate and permanent. You will be signed out and returned to the welcome screen. If you have a Premium subscription, cancel it separately in Google Play → Payments & subscriptions — deleting your account does not cancel Google Play billing.
What is deleted, and what is kept

There is no additional retention period for personal data beyond the legal cases listed above.
Delete some of your data (and keep your account)
- Delete a meal: open the Diary tab, open the menu on any meal and choose Delete. The meal, its nutrition data and any stored photo are removed immediately.
- Stop keeping meal photos: Profile → Data & image retention → turn off "Keep meal photos". By default, photos are already deleted right after analysis.
- Clear data stored on your device: Profile → Data & image retention → Clear local data.
Deleted meals and photos are removed immediately. You can also email zubair.elahi@hotmail.com (subject: "Delete my data") from the email linked to your account to request deletion of specific data.
Can't access the app?
If you can no longer open the app or sign in, email zubair.elahi@hotmail.com from the email address linked to your account with the subject "Delete my account". We will complete the deletion and confirm by reply.
