Photos are sent securely to our servers and to our AI processing partner (Google Gemini API) solely to analyse your meal. By default, your photo is deleted after analysis. If you enable "Keep meal photos" in Settings, photos are stored privately in your account until you delete the meal or your account. Photos are never used to train AI models without your separate, explicit consent.
Data is stored with Supabase (hosted database and storage) and processed by Google (AI analysis, advertising). These providers act as processors under their own security and privacy commitments. Data may be processed on servers outside your country.
Mealuma is not directed at children under 13 and we do not knowingly collect their data.
Mealuma provides approximate food, calorie and nutrition estimates for general informational and wellness purposes. Results may be inaccurate and should not replace advice from a qualified healthcare professional.
We will update this page when the policy changes and note the date above. Material changes will be highlighted in the app.
